Compassionate Friends
Each year in the United States more than 228,000 children and young adults die. This is every parent’s nightmare. You may know someone who needs help dealing with the loss of a child. Where can they turn? They can turn to a unique organization called the Compassionate Friends.
The Compassionate Friends is a mutual assistance, not-for-profit self-help organization that offers support and understanding to families who have experienced the death of a child. The U.P. Chapter of Compassionate Friends will meet on the second Wednesday of each month at Redeemer Lutheran Church from 7-9 p.m., beginning June 14. For more information contact Kathy Schuck, 249-1948.
